The Sound Of Music's Costume Design





"The Sound of Music" is an iconic movie ever.

A great story well told and well performed, held in a stunning place, plenty of unforgetable songs. 

 There's something else in this movie, the costumes performed by the costume designer Dorothy Jeakins. 

We may point out, for example, the outfits worn by the glamourous Eleanor Parker to give life to the Baroness Elsa Schraeder, who doesn't get the Captain because loses him out to an almost nun.

H. Villa-Lobos

The renowned erudite composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, born in Brazil in 1887, loved Bach's music as much as he loved the brazilian popular rythms, and somehow, concerning his own music,  he made a fusion among the classical and the popular rythms from Brazil.
