Classy Vienna

Sisi, Empress of Austria

The History gives us details on the rise and fall of the powerful austrian empire. A geo-political power is accompanied by a cultural domain and contribution too. One who visits Vienna may imagine what that power was.

The big cities in Europe are well organized and plenty of beauty. Vienna is very singular among them. Maybe, it is the most classy city, but not snob.

The barroque and rococo of the palatial buildings, the classical music composed by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn and Strauss co-exist easily with the Impressionism, the Contemporary and with the Art Nouveau made by Klimt, for example. Everything made on the behalf of the beauty.

One may naturally entry into Vienna's atmosphere there. On the weekends, walking down the main streets around the Stephansplatz, at the heart of Vienna, there's the impression that the people, natives or visitors, strove themselves, maybe with their best outfits, to go on a rendezvous, to hang out, or simply to eat a tasty viennese pie at a charming café. So, men wearing suit and tie at those occasions, on a weekend, is not an otherwordly thing there.

Even people who do not dress at a tradional way, such as the punks, strive themselves aswell. The punks from Vienna are also singular, the hair color and hairstyle, their accessorries may cause more impact.

Two remarkable recollections from Vienna and nearby are my visit to the Museum of the Music, where one may go through the time evolution of the music, and to find samples of ancient and different musical instruments, usual in the past and obsolete or unknown today, and a sightseeing by the colorful tulips gardens at the gorgeous Schönbrunn Palace.
