The Polka Dots
I met a special lady who enjoyed dressing up herself with the polka dots (les petits pois). I suppose they were my gramma's favorite motif stamp, besides the floral. They fit very well into her style.
People are used to connect 'les petits pois' to the 1950's, but a record dated as of 1858 was already found out at the Fashion History Timeline. Fashion historians say that the entry of polka dots into the masculine clothing was since the 1920's. A dark blue marine tie with small white or red dots is often a basic and elegant option.
